Betsy Bowers (Registrar/AZeds Coordinator/Admin Assistant)
Mrs. Betsy Bowers has worked at Canyon View since 2009. She loves working with Canyon View students, and she finds her heart closest to working with pre-teen and teenage students. Mrs. Bowers grew up in Arizona but attended college in California where she earned a degree in Business and many certificates while studying court reporting, computers, and education. She taught community college classes including business math, various computer software programs, and grammar. After moving back to Arizona, she taught computer and keyboard classes to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Education has always been very important to Mrs. Bowers, and she strives to pass her love for education onto students. She will always welcome you with a smile and an open ear.
Angie Watson (Admin Assistant/NSLP Coordinator)
Mrs. Watson has worked in education, more importantly for charter schools, for over 19 years. She has a background in accounting and has also worked with students in the classroom setting. She sees the importance of a small school setting and the positive impact on the students that a charter school provides.If you have any questions about Park View School, Inc. Phil Luukkonen (Algebra/Algebra 2/Geometry/Pre-Calculus)
Mr. Phil Luukkonen was born in Mesa, Az but has had the chance to live in Liberia West Africa, Ivory Coast West Africa, and travel to various other countries prior to settling back here in Prescott Valley. He received his BA and single subject teaching credential from Simpson University and has 11 years teaching experience. He loves helping students overcome the challenges presented in learning math and sports. He coaches cross-country and soccer and enjoys any game that presents a challenge. He believes the best athlete utilizes both his mental and physical talents in a game. Students can’t decide whether to call him a nerd or a jock, but he's proud to be both.
Jessica Short (Spanish)
Mrs. Jessica Short moved to Prescott Valley from Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico where she was living and teaching for three years. This will be Mrs. Short's 4th year with Canyon View. She is originally a Jersey girl, from the coastal town of Point Pleasant. She is extremely passionate about foreign language acquisition and feels it is essential that all students today learn at least one foreign language so they can be successful in today’s global society. She loves teaching Spanish because she gets to share her love for the culture, people, places and language with all of the students. In her free time she enjoys running, riding horses, hiking, camping, and exploring new places.
